Тurkmen chemists developed a liquid fertilizer for greenhouses

A promising project by the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan is approaching completion — the development of a universal liquid fertilizer for greenhouse farms under the names KAS-28, -30, and -32. These formulas contain potassium, nitrogen, ammonium nitrate, and other additives.

The new product is already attracting interest from domestic market players involved in the cultivation of greenhouse vegetables, citrus crops, and bananas. Neighboring countries have also expressed readiness to purchase the fertilizer in "unlimited quantities." The institute plans to take part in the production process to ensure it develops within the country, on a scientific basis, with laboratory quality control — aiming to produce a high-quality product that will benefit agricultural production.

Presenting the project, Amanmurat Remezanov, Senior Engineer of the Department for Technological Projects and Implementation, noted that the fertilizer mix contains all the nutrients necessary for the growth and development of greenhouse plants — including vitamins, minerals, microelements, and components for protection against plant diseases and pests.

According to the instructions, the liquid fertilizer should be diluted to the required concentration based on the needs of specific crops and overall production. It is then applied through a drip irrigation system directly to the plant roots, providing both watering and fertilization simultaneously.

The mixture is environmentally friendly — safe for the soil, surrounding ecosystem, and the vegetables grown. Open-field vegetable growers, as well as berry and melon producers, are also expected to benefit from this effective fertility solution.
