Turkmenistan's Ministry of Education Delegation Holds Talks in London
20 May. 04:29An official delegation from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan engaged in a series of strategic bilateral meetings during the World Education Forum (EWF 2026) in the British capital. Led by Deputy Minister Azat Atayev, the working group held discussions with executives from leading global platforms, technology institutions, and ministerial bodies. The primary objective of the visit was to establish practical frameworks for modernizing the national educational system and integrating cutting-edge administrative standards.
During sessions with global ed-tech companies Classera and ClassLink, preliminary agreements were reached to launch targeted pilot programs. The parties examined mechanisms for incorporating AI-driven digital solutions to map individual learning trajectories, alongside advanced algorithms for educational data consolidation and analytical oversight. Concurrently, negotiations with Times Higher Education focused on developing a systematic roadmap to elevate a selected Turkmen university into prestigious global academic rankings.
The parameters of professional certification and quality assessment were structured during talks with Pearson and the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The discussions explored the feasibility of establishing international standard testing and certification centers within Turkmenistan. Additionally, the delegation reviewed a proposal with the Project Management Institute to host seminars on digital transformation management, evaluated interactive mathematics methodologies from Matific, and assessed the outcomes of the regional AELLCA language initiative with the British Council.
A key highlight of the diplomatic itinerary was a high-profile interministerial meeting between Turkmenistan's educational leadership and the UK Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson. Within this framework, the officials outlined strategic priorities to strengthen intergovernmental cooperation in the academic sphere. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to scaling joint initiatives aimed at advancing teacher training standards and expanding institutional exchange networks.

11 Oct. 15:20An international press tour for media representatives from Turkmenistan is currently underway in Türkiye, organized by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.
The delegation includes journalists and content creators from the country’s leading public and private media outlets.
The journey through the Balıkesir region began immediately upon the delegation’s arrival at Koca Seyit Airport. The first stop on the itinerary was the picturesque Manastır Çayı area, followed by a visit to the famous Olive Oil Museum. Here, the journalists were introduced to the centuries-old traditions of olive oil production—a key gastronomic and cultural hallmark of the Aegean coast—before enjoying a walk along the scenic Güre coastline.
A special highlight of the program was an immersive experience in the region's unique natural landscape. Participants embarked on an exciting jeep safari through the Kazdağları National Park (historically known as Mount Ida). The journalists explored the rugged beauty of the Şahindere Canyon, refreshed themselves at ice-cold natural springs, and ascended to the legendary Altar of Zeus, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire region.
In the coming days, the press tour participants will dive into the rich history of the Çanakkale region. The itinerary includes exploring the ancient city of Assos and the Temple of Athena, viewing the iconic Trojan Horse, discovering legendary Troy along with its state-of-the-art museum complex, and paying tribute at the historic sites of Gallipoli and the Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorials.
Such international media initiatives allow Turkmen journalists to gain firsthand insights into modern practices in cultural and eco-tourism, exchange professional experience with Turkish colleagues, and strengthen media collaboration between the two nations.
Blitz
