The world-renowned "Galkynysh" National Equestrian Games group is set to take part in the 8th Ethnosport Culture Festival, scheduled for May 21–24 in Istanbul, Turkey. A delegation of 25 members, led by the Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan Serdar Pygyyev, will showcase the extraordinary agility and beauty of Akhal-Teke horses. This participation aims to represent the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan through a display of masterful horsemanship and traditional arts.

The festival, organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation, will be held at the Ataturk Airport grounds. The four-day event offers a diverse program featuring traditional sports, theatrical performances, folk craft workshops, and culinary presentations. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience traditional lifestyle firsthand, including activities like archery and horse riding in specially designed nomadic-themed areas.

"Galkynysh" is no stranger to this international platform. During the 7th Ethnosport Festival in Istanbul in May 2025, the group’s performances on Akhal-Teke steeds were among the most celebrated highlights, leaving a lasting impression on guests from around the globe. The group's prestige is further backed by its historic win of the grand prize at the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival in 2025, cementing its status as a leader in global equestrian arts.

Admission to the festival is free, ensuring wide public engagement with traditional cultures. According to delegation leader Serdar Pygyyev, the performers are fully prepared to demonstrate the grace and speed of the "heavenly" horses once again. The upcoming event in Istanbul is expected to further strengthen cultural ties and promote the legendary Akhal-Teke breed on the international stage.
