The 147th and 148th sessions of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Council are being held from June 25 to 27 at the WCO headquarters in Brussels. A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Chairman of the State Customs Service, is participating in the meetings of the organization’s highest governing body. A pivotal segment of the Turkmen delegation’s working itinerary includes a dedicated bilateral meeting between the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, Ian Saunders. During the scheduled dialogue, both sides aim to evaluate core fields of mutual partnership, specifically emphasizing the comprehensive digitalization of customs operations, the practical integration of advanced WCO structural standards, and the targeted enhancement of human resource capacities through international expertise exchange.
