A high-level meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) took place to discuss the future trajectory of their bilateral partnership. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the framework of cooperation through structured programs in education, social protection, and sustainable development.

The discussion highlighted the importance of implementing the new Country Program for 2026–2030, which serves as a roadmap for joint initiatives. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the formal adoption and subsequent execution of the National Strategy for Early Childhood Development. This strategy aims to enhance the quality of life for children from their earliest years, ensuring they receive the necessary support in health, nutrition, and early learning to reach their full potential.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the ongoing transformation of the social work system within the country. This includes the professional training of specialized personnel, the creation of new employment opportunities in the social sector, and the refinement of institutional mechanisms. The legal protection of children remained a pivotal topic, with plans unveiled for the development of a National Program on Child Protection and Juvenile Justice.
