From May 1 to May 10, 2026, a delegation of experts from Turkmenistan attended the 26th International Black Sea Theatre Festival, titled "State Theatres – Trabzon-26," held in Trabzon, Türkiye. Organized by the General Directorate of State Theatres under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, this annual event remains a cornerstone of international artistic collaboration, attracting diverse professional troupes from across the globe.

Serving as members of the international jury and expert panels, the Turkmen representatives engaged in the evaluation of stage performances and participated in specialized workshops and masterclasses. The festival featured a rich program of 15 major theatrical productions, seven puppet shows for children, and several exhibitions focused on stage costumes and cinematic arts. These activities provided a unique platform for exchange between directors, actors, and industry scholars.

During the forum, the Turkmen delegation presented video materials highlighting the dynamic development of theatre and circus arts in Turkmenistan. Special emphasis was placed on the state-of-the-art facilities at the Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theatre in Arkadag City and the award-winning history of Turkmen performers in international competitions. Strategic meetings were also held with Turkish cultural officials to discuss future bilateral initiatives and institutional partnerships within the performing arts sector.

In recognition of their active participation and contribution to fostering international cultural ties, the Turkmen specialists were awarded the festival’s official Cup and certificates of appreciation. This successful engagement underscores Turkmenistan's growing role in the global theatrical community and its commitment to professional excellence in the arts.
