A farmer in the Antalya province of Turkey made an unconventional economic decision by distributing approximately four tons of harvested tomatoes to local residents free of charge. According to a report by "MIR 24" news network, the decision was prompted by a complete stagnation of consumer demand within the regional wholesale market.

The agricultural producer, Turan Kivrak, explained that he was unable to secure any wholesale buyers for his fresh produce. Due to high price volatility and market instability, he refused to sell his quality crop for a financial loss, opting instead to donate the food directly to the community. Kivrak noted that distributing the fresh food to families was far better than allowing the results of his seasonal labor to spoil in storage units.

The massive distribution drive was executed at the Cinarli public square. Local citizens responded promptly to the invitation, arriving at the public venue equipped with boxes, crates, and plastic bags to collect the complimentary produce.
