During his friendly visit to the People's Republic of China, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, gave an interview to the "CGTN" TV channel, where he addressed the pressing issues of international relations. To illustrate his point, the National Leader quoted the wise words of the prominent medieval Turkmen statesman, Bairam Khan Turkmen: "A victory in war is nothing compared to the ability to live in peace." This historical reference reinforced his message that war has never brought true happiness to humanity. He noted that once a shot is fired, it never returns, and it does not distinguish between a soldier, a civilian, or a child—it only brings tragedy and loss.
