According to a report by the "Daily Mail," high-resolution digital enlargement of the image has revealed the presence of 13 tiny human figures hidden within the eyes of the Virgin Mary. This discovery has sparked renewed interest from both the scientific and religious communities regarding the origins of the sacred relic.

The figures resemble people from the 16th century and are invisible to the naked eye, becoming apparent only through intense magnification. Technical analyses have indicated that the image was applied to the fabric without any preliminary sketches or visible brushstrokes, suggesting a single-step creation process.
