The "Bank-2026" Cup athletics competition recently concluded at the Ashgabat Stadium, bringing together employees from Turkmenistan's leading financial institutions. Organized by the "Halkbank" Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, the event featured representative teams from five major banks: "Turkmenistan," "Turkmenbashy," "Dayhanbank," "Senagat," and "Halkbank." Each participating organization fielded six athletes to compete for the prestigious trophy.
The competition schedule focused on three fundamental athletic disciplines: the 100-meter dash, the 4x100-meter relay, and the long jump. These events tested the speed, agility, and coordination of the participants. The tournament provided a platform for financial sector professionals to demonstrate their sportsmanship and physical preparedness outside of their traditional office roles.
In the overall standings, the team from the "Senagat" Joint-Stock Commercial Bank secured the first-place position after delivering dominant performances across the board. The "Dayhanbank" State Commercial Bank team earned the silver medals, finishing in a strong second place. The host team, "Halkbank," rounded out the podium by claiming the third-place honors.
The closing ceremony featured the presentation of honorary certificates, medals, and valuable gifts to the winners and runners-up. This sporting initiative highlights the ongoing commitment of Turkmenistan’s banking sector to fostering a healthy lifestyle and promoting interpersonal connections through competitive physical activity.
