During his working visit to the Republic of Austria, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with leaders of Turkmenistan's mass media. He addressed the current volatile situation in the Middle East, urging all parties to resolve conflicts through peaceful, political, and diplomatic means. He emphasized that this stance is a fundamental and unchanging pillar of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy.

The National Leader underscored Turkmenistan’s firm opposition to the spread of weapons of mass destruction. He highlighted that the country is a signatory to major international legal instruments, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). For Turkmenistan, adherence to these laws is not merely a military or technical matter, but a profound moral obligation to protect current and future generations.

Furthermore, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed out the catastrophic environmental and socio-economic consequences that would result from the use of mass destruction weapons. He stressed that the irreparable damage to regional development and ecological balance demands the highest level of international responsibility. His statements in Vienna reinforce Turkmenistan’s status as a neutral state committed to global disarmament and the humanitarian preservation of life.

FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder Gavi (Pablo Paéz Gavira) is donating approximately €1.3 million to fund the construction of 150 homes for homeless and low-income individuals. The project will take place in his hometown of Los Palacios y Villafranca, located in the province of Seville.

According to Spanish media outlets, the development is designed to shelter around 300 people who face financial difficulties in purchasing or renting a home. The initiative is a purely charitable endeavor funded entirely by the footballer rather than a commercial real estate investment.

Specific details regarding construction timelines and eligibility criteria for housing recipients will be announced in subsequent phases of the project.
