The Kyrgyz Republic is significantly accelerating its national environmental protection framework with a focus on long-term ecological sustainability. The primary objective of the current state policy is to safeguard natural habitats and ensure a greener environment for future generations. Within the scope of the comprehensive ecological platform, key environmental authorities have outlined updated targets for large-scale reforestation across the country.

According to official updates from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, the ongoing national campaign named "Zhashyl Muras" (Green Heritage) has already achieved substantial results. Approximately six million young saplings have been successfully planted across various territories. For the current year of 2026, the state intends to expand these efforts significantly, targeting the planting of nine million additional trees.

Minister Akyl Toktobaev emphasized that the extensive planting phase will be accompanied by a systematic upgrade in administrative and analytical operations. The environmental strategy is prioritizing structural modernization to ensure high efficiency and accountability across all participating regional sectors. The integration of modern organizational tools is expected to optimize resource distribution during the nationwide campaign.

A central element of this upgrade involves the imminent transition of the monitoring system into a dedicated digital format. The government is developing an innovative online platform designed to provide real-time tracking of the ongoing forestry activities. This technological solution will enable both independent observers and public state institutions to visually verify the progress of the greening initiatives in every designated zone.
