Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented prestigious state honors to leading figures in the fields of culture and art during an official ceremony held at the Akorda presidential palace. In his address to the creative community, the head of state emphasized that the nation’s cultural identity serves as a fundamental and interconnected element of the broader Turkic civilization.

The Kazakh leader noted that safeguarding and promoting the country's spiritual and cultural landscape has officially transformed into a constitutional mandate for the government. Moving forward, the state apparatus plans to prioritize the preservation of traditional performance arts, focusing specifically on ancient poetic and musical expressions such as zhyrau, terme, and kyui heritages.

To reinforce this institutional direction, the President announced the establishment of a new national award titled "Asyl Mura." This honorary distinction will be bestowed via presidential decree based on nominations submitted by the relevant ministry to recognize outstanding artists who demonstrate exceptional talent in showcasing authentic national heritage. The initiative is structured to bolster long-term creative development across the country.

The ceremony coincided with the nation's official Day of Culture and Art Workers, featuring the decoration of 120 professionals from various creative disciplines. Recipients of the awards remarked that the introduction of new recognition frameworks will significantly inspire contemporary artists while preserving indigenous musical traditions for future generations.
