Cyclists from the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and the national team of Turkmenistan are conducting joint training camps in Ashgabat from August 4 to 20. The event is organized in accordance with plans approved during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

The delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) consists of 28 members: management, coaching staff, a technical specialist, and 24 athletes. The guests are accommodated at the Turgenler Hotel in the capital, with training taking place at the Olympic Complex facilities and on city roadways.

Road training sessions are held along Ataturk, Archabil, and Kopetdag Avenues, as well as in the Gokdere Valley. The program covers distances ranging from 60 to 150 kilometers, with cyclists scheduled to cover approximately 1,270 kilometers during the camp.

Six training sessions and three methodological seminars are planned at the specialized velodrome. These activities are coordinated with relevant state authorities to ensure road safety and medical support.

Sports cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and the Cycling Federation of Turkmenistan has been ongoing since 2023. Fifteen Turkmen cyclists are participating in the current camp under the leadership of head coach Kakabay Atayev and assistant coach Igor Yoldashev.

Following joint preparation in Ashgabat, the Turkmen national team will travel to Thailand for the Asia Track Cycling Cup on August 28–30. The primary focus for the national team this season will be the Asian Games in Japan.
