On the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, residents from all provinces and major cities of Turkmenistan presented President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with exceptional Akhal-Teke horses as a sign of profound respect. Each horse was named according to the regional identity it represented: Gözbaş from Ahal, Sumbar from Balkan, Şabat from Dashoguz, Jeýhun from Lebap, Marguş from Mary, Nusaý from Ashgabat, and Mertebeli from the city of Arkadag.

During the festive ceremony, youth representatives from each region recited emotional poetry, expressing their gratitude for the President's leadership and commitment to the nation's welfare. Additionally, military and law enforcement agencies presented a horse named Gaýratly to the Head of State. These gifts serve as a symbolic tribute to the President's ongoing efforts to modernize the equestrian industry and preserve the unique heritage of the Turkmen people.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of two specific horses by the country’s professional breeders: Arkahan, gifted to the President, and Daghan, designated for the National Leader of the Turkmen people. The linguistic combination of their names — "Arka" and "Dag" — forms the word "Arkadag," symbolizing the unity and strength of the nation. This unique gesture underscores the deep historical and spiritual connections that define the modern era of the Turkmen state.

To conclude the ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his heartfelt thanks to the elders and breeders, placing traditional hand-woven "alaja" amulets around the horses' necks. This traditional practice highlights the preservation of ancestral customs and the sacred status of the horse in Turkmen culture. The event further solidifies the role of the Akhal-Teke breed as a cornerstone of national identity and a symbol of the country's bright future.
