The Netherlands-based technology giant ASML, the world’s premier supplier of lithography equipment for the semiconductor industry, has established a historical market capitalization record within the European business sector. The corporation’s total market value reached an unprecedented 668 billion dollars. This surge allowed the advanced hardware manufacturer to surpass Denmark's pharmaceutical leader, Novo Nordisk, which had previously held the European record with a 650 billion dollar valuation in June 2024.

The sudden appreciation of ASML's stock was directly driven by newly published analytical reports from leading institutional investment banks, including JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley. Both financial conglomerates upgraded their future stock target prices simultaneously; JPMorgan raised its target from 1,515 to 1,900 euros, while Morgan Stanley adjusted its outlook from 1,400 to 1,660 euros. Market analysts concluded that the company's intrinsic manufacturing output is significantly robust compared to initial conservative forecasts.

In particular, financial researchers highlighted that ASML possesses the operational capacity to deliver over 110 Low-NA lithography systems without needing to heavily invest in expanding its existing assembly plants. This revised figure is significantly higher than previous independent estimates, which capped potential shipments at 90 units. Such manufacturing capability guarantees that the enterprise can continuously satisfy the intense global demand coming from major industrial semiconductor manufacturers.

Presently, ASML retains an absolute international monopoly on the design and production of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography scanners. These complex systems are structurally indispensable for the serial manufacturing of next-generation microchips. Consequently, the production timelines of prominent semiconductor manufacturers like TSMC, Samsung, and Intel remain directly dependent on the machinery provided by the Dutch corporation, cementing its place as a critical node in global technology supply chains.

Despite its historic achievement as Europe's most valuable corporate entity, ASML’s total valuation remains below the 1 trillion dollar threshold, placing it behind several leading American semiconductor and tech corporations. Furthermore, its 50 percent year-on-year stock growth slightly trails the broader explosive gains witnessed across the United States semiconductor index. Nevertheless, this financial milestone has enabled ASML to comfortably secure its position as Europe’s technological leader, surpassing the German enterprise software conglomerate SAP.
