Cultural Evening Dedicated to Turkmenistan Held in Astrakhan During "Caspian Seasons" Festival
On August 24, as part of the 5th International Festival “Caspian Seasons,” a cultural evening dedicated to Turkmenistan was held in Astrakhan.
The musical Guseinov family performed on stage: opera singer Daria Guseinova from Moscow’s Helikon-Opera, composer and pianist Mamed Guseinov — a member of the Composers’ Union of Russia and Eurasia, and their 11-year-old son Dariy — a young singer, pianist, and actor performing in Helikon-Opera and the Bolshoi Theatre.
The concert featured Turkmen folk songs, film compositions, and pieces based on Russian and Japanese poetry. Daria sang vocal parts accompanied by Mamed on the piano. The audience was especially delighted by the performance of young Dariy Guseinov.
The program also included premieres emphasizing friendship and spiritual values. The evening concluded with the song “Beloved Eyes” from the film “The Old Ashir’s Trick.”

TikTok has entered into an agreement to transfer control of its U.S. business to a newly formed investor-led joint venture. The decision was revealed through reports citing internal company documentation.
Under the terms of the deal, which is expected to be finalized on January 22, 2026, Oracle, Silver Lake, and the Abu Dhabi–based investment firm MGX will collectively acquire a 45 percent stake in TikTok’s American operations.
The joint venture, to be headquartered in Washington, will oversee data protection, algorithm security, content moderation, and software quality standards. These steps are designed to strengthen regulatory compliance and international confidence in the platform, including interest from regions such as Turkmenistan.
The move follows an executive order signed on September 26 by U.S. President Donald Trump, requiring the sale of TikTok’s U.S. assets to American investors.
