A vibrant chess tournament recently took place in Turkmenistan, bringing together employees from across the national banking system. This intellectual competition was designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage strategic thinking among finance professionals. Organized in a group stage format, the event allowed participants to engage in a series of challenging matches, testing their mental agility and decision-making skills under pressure.

In the women’s division, the competition featured a high level of expertise and focus. Guljahan Atbashyyeva, representing the "Rysgal" Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, emerged as the champion after a series of brilliant victories. She was followed by Mahri Akmammedowa from the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, who secured the second position. The third place was awarded to Jeren Muhammedowa from the Turkmen-Turkish Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, rounding out a successful podium for the participants.

The men’s category also delivered intense and memorable performances, showcasing the deep strategic talents of the banking workforce. Ashyrguly Geldiyew, representing the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, claimed the top honors with his exceptional gameplay. Tachmyrat Berdiyew of "Rysgal" Bank took the second-place trophy, while Perman Owezow from the Turkmen-Turkish Joint-Stock Commercial Bank successfully secured the third spot.

Bayern Munich secured their 12th German Supercup title after defeating Borussia Dortmund 2:1 at Signal Iduna Park. Vincent Kompany's side took early control of the match with first-half goals from Nathaniel Brown and Michael Olise.

Fábio Silva scored the sole goal for Dortmund in the 75th minute, while Ramy Bensebaini was sent off with a direct red card in the 90th minute. With this victory, Bayern Munich further solidifies its record for the most Supercup titles in German football history.
