A delegation from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship is scheduled to visit the Republic of Belarus. This upcoming diplomatic and humanitarian mission was announced by Stanislav Chepurnoy, the Ambassador of Belarus to Turkmenistan, in a congratulatory message marking the fifth anniversary of the fund’s establishment. The visit underscores the deepening ties between the two nations in the realms of social welfare and child healthcare.

During the mission, the delegation is expected to tour several prominent Belarusian institutions, including the Belarusian Children’s Fund and the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children. These site visits are intended to facilitate a comprehensive exchange of best practices in pediatric care and social support. Furthermore, high-level negotiations are planned to identify promising avenues for bilateral cooperation and long-term joint humanitarian initiatives.

According to Ambassador Chepurnoy, humanitarian relations between Belarus and Turkmenistan have intensified significantly in recent years. In 2025, Lyudmila Kondrashova, Chairperson of the Board of the Belarusian Children's Fund, participated in two major international conferences held in Turkmenistan. As a symbol of this growing partnership, the Belarusian side presented a specialized developmental kit and samples of pediatric orthopedic footwear to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag.

The groundwork for the current collaboration was further solidified in July of last year during a meeting between Ambassador Chepurnoy and the Fund's Vice-President, Oguljahan Atabayeva. The discussions focused on advanced methods for medical treatment, health recovery, and the social reintegration of children. The forthcoming visit to Minsk represents a strategic step toward formalizing these cooperative efforts, ensuring that vulnerable children in both countries benefit from shared expertise and resources.
