Antonio Guterres arrives in Turkmenbashi to attend UN conference
On August 3, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Turkmenbashi on a working visit to participate in the Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, the news program "Watan" reports.
The plane of the UN chief landed at the Turkmenbashi International Airport, where the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
As we reported earlier, the Avaza National Tourist Zone is hosting the participants of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and other guests. At the Turkmenbashi International Airport, the forum participants are being met in the best traditions of national Turkmen hospitality.

A Series of Events Promoting the Russian Language and Culture to Be Held in Ashgabat
From November 24 to 28, Ashgabat will host a series of cultural and educational events as part of the Russian Federation’s state program “Support and Promotion of the Russian Language Abroad,” according to the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture “Rosconcert.”
The program features performances by the Ural State Academic Russian Folk Choir, a traditional Russian folk gathering by the Moscow Folk Choir, as well as educational seminars and master classes focused on the Russian language.
